What is the deadline to register for the Symposium?

The deadline for registration is Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Due to limited capacity, we encourage you to register early. If you have any questions, please contact Lindsay Vallance at lvallance@fieldmuseum.org or 312.665.7098.

Do I need to register for the full day of programs?

You may attend as many tours and programs as you would like. When you register (hyperlink) you will be able to indicate your choices.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for the Symposium?

It is our pleasure to organize this day of thought provoking conversations and sessions for the Field Museum’s closest friends and supporters free of charge.

Where should I park at the Field Museum?

We will provide parking in the Museum’s West Parking Lot.

Directions: Heading South on Columbus Drive, turn left onto McFetridge
Drive, cross over Lake Shore Drive, and make your first left
into the West Parking Lot. At the Guard House, ring the bell
and give your name to the Security Officer via the intercom.
Enter the Museum through the West Door.
NOTE: You cannot access McFetridge Drive from southbound
Lake Shore Drive – only from southbound Columbus, or
northbound Lake Shore Drive.

What accessibility features does the museum provide?

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. They are located at the West entrance on the ground level. Please see a visitor services associate or protection services officer for assistance. All wheelchairs are thoroughly sanitized between uses.

Elevators
There are two elevators that access all three public levels of the museum, located on the east and west sides of each level.

Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are available on every level, as well as an all-gender, single-stall restroom on the ground level near the West entrance. The restroom at the East entrance has a family restroom with an adult changing table.
